Vitamins And Our Lifestyle

Hurry, scurry, worry
and wait.
Does this
describe your lifestyle? Most days it applies
directly to a lot of us. Jump out of bed at the
last minute with barely time to gulp a cup of
coffee with maybe a piece of toast or a roll.
Grab a sandwich at lunch, then hurry through
dinner so we can be off to our evening's
commitment. Small wonder some of us have been
told we have a vitamin deficiency.
Vitamins are
vital for life and are needed for every growth
and developmental function of our bodies, almost
without fail. Healthy bones, teeth and skin
depend on vitamins. They are necessary for good
vision and are essential during pregnancy and
lactation. Not only do vitamins play an urgent
role in development, but they are also essential
in safeguarding against illness, warding off
colds and sinus infections.
Fair skin and
beautiful hair come as a direct result of our
proper vitamin intake. Some vitamins act a
powerful anti oxidant that helps protect cell
membranes and promotes circulation by guarding
against the damaging effects of cholesterol by
being a blood thinner able to prevent and
dissolve blood clots.
These are just a
few of the ways vitamins that we get from fresh
fruits and vegetables, meats, fish and dairy
products benefit our bodies. Ordinarily our
diet, if it includes the proper amounts of these
foods, will supply all the vitamins we need.
However, if you have been told your diet doesn't
provide all the vitamins you require, consider
one of the many fine vitamin supplements
available. You have a choice of the way you
consume your vitamins. They can be found as
capsules, pills or in liquid form. The choice is
yours.
